Allow me to share my experience while I’m in my ‘nothing-to-do-time’ like now. I just want to tell the story about my friend who just moved her house. She was from Massachusetts moving to Boston, the city nearby.
Well, there are times when we meet the situation when we have to decide to move our house.
Here are the checklists that might be helpful to you.
It is recommended to do a garage sale and sell everything you don’t need anymore, or the things that not worthy anymore to be brought with you. Sort through all your stuffs, so you can have less things to carry to your new place.
You need plenty of boxes to pack all your belongings. You can get the boxes from the local supermarket, or house moving company. Make labels on every box so you know what is inside. Wrap carefully fragile items to avoid any breakages.
If you don’t use a moving company, it is recommended to rent a van truck. It will be cheaper than using a moving company. Load the stuff into the truck as much as it can carry so you will need as few trips as possible.
On the day, it is good to prepare one box for essential needs like toilet rolls, candles, hammer, screwdriver, medication, light bulbs, foods, and everything else that you might need immediately.
Don’t forget to turn off everything in your old house like water, electricity etc.
Hoping this little sharing be beneficial for you.
