This is the first speedo I purchased. I've been working out for years and several months ago I decided to improve my swim fitness because I'm training for my first triathlon. I was a bit hesistant to wear a speedo - especially in a public pool. I was used to the typical baggy swim trunks. So my feelings were more of insecurity wearing what at the time was a much skimpier and revealing suit.

I purchased this speedo because I liked the design. It came and as soon as I pulled it out of the package, I was like "no way - this is too revealing for me". My waist is a 31-32 (I'm 5 feet, 10.5 inches, 175 pounds) and I ordered the 32 size. As I pulled it up - it seemed a little tight, but managed to get it fully on and it actually felt great - not too tight, not loose). Still - I didn't have the confidence and I looked up online how other people looked in similiar speedos. I saw I looked about the same so I took a chance, brought it to the public gym pool where I train and I loved it! It felt so comfortable in the water and it was nice to not have that swim drag. Most people seemed not to notice except for a few smiles from the ladies, which I took as a reassuring sign.

The material was comfortable and using the proper care stated on the label (tap water wash after chlorine exposure, hang dry) I've swam only about a dozen times, but it seems to hold up beautifully. The material seems strong.

Overall - for my first speedo - this particular product felt fantastic to swim in, the size (32) was perfect, and it fits well. I would recommend this product to others simply because of the swim feel and what I believe is high quality material. Keep in mind however, I don't have other speedos or race trunks to compare this one to. At the very least, the stripes on this model are nicely fashionable.

Good fit. Substantial fabric. Great price. The test is in their durability and resistance to chlorine.

These are actually as stated "Xtra Life" The Lycra is more durable, the fit more comfortable, particularly around the leg openings.
Also try solars, like the better pouch effect and if you want less coverage on the sides
